Moi’s Bridge is one of the largest and busiest maize and wheat trading centre in Kenya, located north of Eldoret on route B2 towards Kitale. At the escarpment on Kerio Valley in the southern part lie vast forests where many Kenyan athletes are active and have their training camps. By road Wareng is reached from Nairobi by route A 104 at around 300 kms to Eldoret, or by route number A1 from Kisumu via Kakamega. There are various alternative interior and scenic routes, like B4 and C51 via Nakuru and Kabarnet, or B1/C37 from Kisumu/Kericho via Nandi Hills.

The roads network is of good quality tarmac class B, C and D roads, with some murram class E roads connecting agricultural centres. Eldoret International Airport is located at about 30 kms west of Eldoret (N0 24.319; E35 13.425) and there are several scheduled flights daily to Nairobi and Kisumu.
