Treasurers Department

The County Treasurer is the Financial Advisor of the Council and is the Head of the Treasurer’s Department which is made up of various sections including:

• Account Section with the task of preparing the various books of accounts, for example bank reconciliations, abstracts of accounts, balance sheets.
• Revenue Section with the responsibility of coordinating the overall revenue collection and its banking on daily basis
• Payment Section responsible for keeping the records as pertaining the payments / salaries, as well as maintains vote books and budgetary control.
• Supplies Section where all procurement procedures are made on behalf of the entire Council according to the Public Procurement and Disposal Act 2005 and Public Procurement and Disposal regulations, 2006 laid down.
