Wareng's economy

The economy of Wareng is dominated by agriculture. Wheat, maize and dairy are the leading farming activities. Wareng is one of the largest contributors to food security in Kenya. Opportunities exist to expand and professionalise our agriculture further. Wareng is also home to much of Kenya’s athletics sector and many training camps are established in the forested highlands. Kenyan athletics are highly successful and are leading in the international leagues.
